At the foot of Beauvais Cathedral, the MUDO - Musée de l'Oise is housed in an exceptional setting: the former bishop's palace. Paintings, ceramics, furniture... The visit will take you on a journey through the ages.
The MUDO collections
The Musée de l'Oise collections can be divided into three periods:
- Ancient art: discover Italian and French paintings from the Renaissance, the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as ceramics.
- The 19th-century section: this section presents the most emblematic paintings in the museum's collection. You'll find works by Thomas Couture, Camille Corot, Alfred Sisley and Victor Dupont.
- Twentieth-century art: this collection combines Art Nouveau-style furniture with paintings by Maurice Denis, Zoum Walter and Robert Lotiron.
Visiting the MUDO
The Musée de l'Oise is open from Wednesday to Monday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm. However, you can visit the gardens between 1pm and 2pm. The good news is that admission is free for all visitors.
