Rebuilt after the French Revolution, the castle dates from the 19th century and is renowned for its opulence. It is also home to the Condé Museum, which houses one of the country's most important art collections.

The castle is renowned for its extravagant Renaissance style and also for its museum (Condé), which includes works by Botticelli, Raphael, Delacroix and Ingres.

In 2013, the Horse Museum was installed in the Grandes Ecuries of the castle and horse shows are organised in the park throughout the year!
